What a ****! Not a "fake" art dealer but a crooked one obviously, and one probably rather regretting it now! One wonders how such people think they can get away with it? But it's pretty inescapable that there'll be some bad eggs in every walk of life (and far, far too many overall), and most of them unfortunately do get away with it.
The proliferation of fake paintings, and the opportunistic crooks selling them, gets my goat more. They've always been around but the buying and selling on the internet now is really allowing the crooks free rein, especially when the vast majority of the buying public don't know what they're doing and can't tell good from not good and/or from the fraudulently mis-sold in real life, let alone from photographs.
