Hi. This is a curious piece. It is an etching signed and dated by the artist. Used for a menu and signed by 20+ very prominent musicians including: Sir C Hubert H Parry, Sir Alfred Scott Scott-Gatty, Sir Arther Somervell,
Sir Charles Villiers Stanford, Francis Alexander, David Bispham, etc.

Iím hoping someone can help identify the artist. I would assume prominent musicians would be associating with prominent artists?

Bonus points, any idea what all these folks were doing together, besides eating anchovy salad and chicken cutlets??

Looking forward to any input and ideas.

Thank you in advance!

The capital letters are a bit odd, but I wonder if this might be signed by Herman G Herkomer (the G is for "Gustave"). He was the American-born cousin of the better known Hubert von Herkomer, and active as a portrait painter in Britain.

Hercules, thank you very much! I like that idea a lot, and I certainly see what youíre seeing. On that suggestion, Iíve looked for Herman Herkomer autographs, but unfortunately canít find any to compare. The only thing that doesnít seem to fit are those pesky ďHĒs which should at least be repeating or look similar.
Thanks again
