Wartime pen and ink drawings that include a page of Pariser Zietung in the backing material. Possibly an unknown artist with some skill (they vary I know). Scribbles on the back made me think Russian , shortened terms for top and bottom on the mount. After looking at these for ages I think a Cyrillic signature.
Lots of possibilities it seems for lowercase handwritten Cyrillic. Sos.. c=S y=ch/ sh/u
The only names I came up with for Sos starters were
Vladimir Sosnovski
Ivan Sergeevich Soshnikov
I'm probably an old dog barking up the wrong tree but I can get no nearer without help.
Anything at all would be useful. Possible sites for the images... the bridge is possibly identifiable , the town is possibly a long shot. Any help much appreciated.
Thank you, David

I read the last name as Sosuntsov (#1089;#1086;#1089;#1091;#1085;#1094;#1086;#1074;) and the title of course : Windmills
But I can't find an artist with such last name.

The site apparently does not support Cyrillic so you see numbers instead of letters in the previous post.
So here is a search link for that last name artist:

Fantastic Merray. I knew I was on shaky ground after the Sos part.
Well there could be a fairly obvious reason why a soldier on active service and drawing in 1943-44 has not been heard of since. At least if that is the case it meant he probably went home on leave in 1944 with the drawings. I'll look for him a little longer now that I have a name to work with.
Many Thanks
David
