Propably norwegian scandinavian landscape.. Does anyone recognise the signature or text tergo.

Norwegian and German fiord paintings are often confused. I think this is German, because the last word in the description on the back seems to be Wald.

I think the first name in the signature is Gerd. I don't know the meaning of the elaborate /". The last name might be something like Nürup.

I don't think deciphering the text and signature will reveal a significant artist, I just wanted to give you my thoughts on the painting.

Thanks V! Sure.. I have already looked at most of the Gerd combinations in this and other databases without result. The Hunt continues.
