| This painting is of a beautiful young lady, with a large, fan-style, hat.
I can't figure out the monogram signature - I hope that someone can help.
The size of the painting: 10" x 14". The frame is four inches wide, and is beautifully gilded.
The green background color is a bit haunting, but seems typical for the 1920s, and the era of the Deco and 'Flappers'. This painting came from an estate sale, fifty years ago, in Palm Beach, Florida. Even at the time, the Frame was rare. I, actually, paid for the frame.
It is an oil on canvas, and has been badly restored, but can be corrected. The reason I am checking on this painting is - the painting is framed in a very rare ,"Carrig-Rohane" hand carved frame, dated 1929, and signed by "R C Vose.
I'm also sending a photograph of the frame.
Thanks, again, for any help you may be able to offer.
