Hello,
This serigraph was recently found here in the US, but based on the signature and numbering style it is definitely a foreign piece. I'm hoping someone can help decipher the signature. Any help would be truly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

As a follow up; could this be an Israeli artist since the signature seems to read from right to left? Thanks.

I believe that an Israeli artist would write left to right when using the Latin alphabet. And I donít think the signature is written right to left either.

I have tried to figure it out many times, without any luck,
The start could be
jue or pue, jul or pul
and the end
rron or tton

But the elaborate design could be interpreted in several other ways.

The motif of the serigraph (- it could also be a lithograph) has a randomness about it, like a ground seen from high above or some organic material seen in a microscope.

Regards,
Vietato

Vietato,
Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate your time. It is a tricky and elaborate signature. I barely knew where to start, but now I will start looking for artists per your suggestions. I had thought it was maybe Hebrew script when I saw a signature from Micha Ullman (link below) which had a similar style and ended in the same upper case N.

Thank you again.

Now I change my mind. Your Micha Ullman signature looks almost like a variation of the one in your serigraph.

But it is confusing since the Hebrew alphabet doesn't have a letter looking like N.

Let's hope our Israeli member Eytan sees it.
