Hi all,

Would anyone be able to decipher the name of this town and the region? It's on the frame of a French oil by a certain André. Does it say:
Porcheron
Porchenor
Porcherion
Porchenon
..............

I've tried all kinds of Listes Topographiques, résultat nul! I'll have an attaque nerveuse if I go on again, had one when I bought it ....

Thank you so much in advance!
Yours
arb

Bulletin et mémoires de la Societé archéologique de Bordeaux, Volumes 9-10. This old publication cites Porcherion (Loir et Cher). It is alternatively shown as Porcherioux. Hope this helps. Regards, Tina

P.S. I am posting a Barbizon painting for potential research. I've had this painting for a long time but have not been able to identify the artist. It has a signature and an inscription for Fontainebleau. Any assistance would be very greatly appreciated.
