here I have an interesting antique oil on wooden panel painting that I had picked up from UK art dealer earlier this year. Seller told me they believed it was Scottish landscape and originally this painting came from a collection of Manor House in Warwickshire. My google search pointed to Hansen Auctioneers and Valuers who did auction off few paintings from Luddington Manor near Stratford back in Jan 2018 but I was not able to see my painting in their catalog so I am not sure what to think of that ...

But back to the painting - it appears to be in its original frame. Nice colorful oil painting measures just 8 x 12 inches for wooden panel and comes to 16 x 20 inches approx overall sizes .... Do not mind my 4 holders (together with few paper rolls in corners) that I had to add to prevent insert frame from sliding. Everything else seems to be in original untouched condition. I was looking for any signatures and found one fragment that could be a signature and date ...? but hard to say.

I am curious if anybody can provide any thoughts on the painting and perhaps somebody knows who the artist was (can you read the signature?? bottom left corner).

Thank you.
