Hi, members,

This is a small, nicely done oil, on artist board, with a harbor scene, with a Lobster Shack and bay view, with gulls. The image size is 8 1/2" x 12".

I have struggled with the signature, for years. It is signed, in oil, on lower right. It is also signed on the reverse, in ink, but I still can't read the name. It refers to, "MACKIE'S, Niatic (NIANTIC), Conn., 1969). This painting, seems to be in it's original frame. Not super rare, but evokes a feeling of the Northeast coast.

Thank you, for any information, you have, about this artist. Thanks for your time, and knowledge.

Sincerely,
Jimmy N

Sorry members, I didn't sent the signature, in oil, on the lower right. Could the first name be, Adolf?

Thanks,

Jimmy N

No idea from that picture at all... you might want to compare it to the work of Roger Wilson Dennis, who worked in Niantic.

Thanks, Hercules,

I appreciate your response. I see the similarity with Roger Dennis. I will keep up the search. I apologize for the quality of those pics.

Regards,

Jimmy N
