Do you doubt your own information?

It says that it is a lithograph by J.J. Honegger after Hasler.

Underneath the portrait it is written:
Hazler del. [delineavit] (Hazler drew it) - or it might be an inverted S: Hasler
Lith. v. Honegger (Lithograph by Honegger)

But I don't know more about him. Here is another lithograph:

Regards,

Dear Vietato
Thanks for the answer. The problem is that J. J. Honegger was not a lithographer.

I can't find Hasler too. A strange story.
Please tell me what comes first, an oil portrait or an engraving?

There could be a lithographer by the name of J.J. Honegger as well. There are many references to him as J. Honegger, f.ex.
https://rarebooksandprints.com/products/j-honegger-early-19th-c-bodmer-folio-stone-lithograph-american-indian-1834

This should be after Karl Bodmer, but it seems to me that it says "Hasler del." to the right here as well, so maybe Hasler was an intermediary.

An original, be it an oil painting or an ink drawing, will come before the print, which is made to make it accessible to more people.
If the original is a painting, the text will often say N.N. pinx. [pinxit] for 'N.N. painted it'.
