This portrait drawing of my Great Great Grandmother has just come to my attention - possibly pencil or charcoal drawing. I have been told that it may have possibly been done in the mid 1800's. My Great Great Grandmother came to Canada in 1894, so she must have brought it with her. There does not appear to be any signature anywhere on the picture. To me, it is a very well done portrait.
Now, it could have been done by a family member or a friend but it looks well done so I am wondering if anyone might possibly recognize the hand of any known artist? Possibly Irish OR could be English as it was Northern Ireland.
If anyone has any ideas - please let me know - would be interesting if the artist could be identified :)
