I have recently come into a possession of one watercolor painting that has a provenance by Thomas Agnew & Sons gallery with a stock number (quite old label). Sadly the watercolor is not signed but I was hoping somebody can help me to find out what artist was listed under this stock number in their inventory.
Framed and glazed watercolor of a gentleman having a tea in the morning. The art sight is about 6.75 x 9.5 inches and overall it measures 14.5 x 17.75 inches. The sticker from the back reads stock number "46146" and it refers to the building located at 43 Old Bond Street Piccadilly (I know they had few locations).
Please let me know if it is possible to find out what art work was entered under this stock number ......Sadly, I have no access to their archives at all.
