Several Costa could have painted this one and even Artnet can't recognize head or tail, quoting the same work as Giuseppe and Giovanni Costa. It is true that some of these painters had similar signatures. It will be difficult to find exactly the artist.
according to the signature ( EVW page 86 Van Wilder ) ) and the style of painting it's very likely for me that it is a work of giovanni battista Costa ( 1833-1893 ) not to be confused with giovanni "nino " Costa ( 1826-1903 )
