Hope someone can help. I have a very small dark brown woodblock of swallows by Helen West Heller 4"x3" . You can see the woodblock come through on the back side of the paper. Anyone have an idea on the value of this small woodblock. Would be much appreciated, Janet p.s. from the 1920's- early 1930's.

Hmm. No photos? Without photos, I'd say you have a copy from Staples.

I have just signed up to this sight. I now have a picture. Can you add any more insight or is this it?

jhyu,
It looks to be a hand-colored print of some kind. To distinguish whether it's a wood block, or not, is difficult without seeing a really close picture. You mentioned 'swallows'? I didn't mean to sound curt or quick with you on your first entry - I know, from the experience of starting on this site, myself, that the more information you can give to some of the more knowledgeable members, the more responses you will get. If you don't give them the tools to work with, they tend not to respond. You will get responses now, hopefully. You mentioned the name, 'Helen West Heller'. I'm sure the members would like to see that signature, as well. You may not get all of the information you want about your artwork, but you will be amazed at the receive from some of these art people. The site is very friendly and they will guide you. Sometimes, they just don't know.
Hope you hear more about the Rooster. Where are the Swallows? HAHA Regards, Jimmy
