Question for the pros. I have the opportunity to purchase a painting that I like very much that has been relined. I was wondering how much, if any, a reline effects the value of a potential purchase. In this case there doesn't seem to be any other significant restoration other than the lining.
Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.
Hi Rich, A reline can make a big difference. Positive or negative. A lot of factors to consider. Is the painting your considering in buying a $600.00 or a $6,000. $+ painting? We Need more info on your particular painting. If restored properly it can add value to the painting Have a good evening, Arty
